ROLE SUMMARY:
King’s School The Crown is built in extensive grounds offering world-class educational and sporting facilities, enabling students to pursue a diverse range of interests. Our purpose-Built Campus of over 40,000m2 located in the heart of Cairo's most prestigious gated community, The Crown, 6th October city. This school is the first in the region to cater to students from 3 months up to 18 years with state-of-the-art facilities, including: a full football field, 400m athletic track , 25m 8 lane covered swimming pool with learner pool, indoor multi-purpose sports hall, outdoor multipurpose courts and a 522 seat Performing Arts theatre.
Reporting to the Head of Pre-Prep, we are seeking an outstanding, committed and energetic Teaching Assistant to join King’s School The Crown to start in August 2026. The candidate must be a team player and must have a passion to achieve the highest levels of learning and a culture of excellence for themselves and their students.
To be successful in this role you will have experience working as part of a fast-paced marketing team, media buying, and be up to date with the latest marketing trends to deliver best-in-class campaigns. You will have critical thinking skills and experience and be comfortable creating spreadsheets to track and analyse data. We are looking for someone that brings energy and confidence to the business with a proactive approach.
The ideal candidate will be a positive, focused, enthusiastic team player that performs well under pressure, who is receptive to new ideas and direction with a keen interest on future design trends with effective communication and organisation skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist pupils in becoming better learners.
- Support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning, enabling them to work independently and collaboratively.
- Develop a supportive working relationship with teaching staff to help pupils access the curriculum by adapting instructions and resources as needed.
- Support delivery of the school’s enhanced curriculum.
- Work as part of a flexible and supportive team to promote the ethos of the school.
- Undertake relevant training to support personal development and apply learning to benefit the school and pupils.
- Attend staff, Key Stage, and TLA meetings to share and develop best practice.
- Follow teachers’ weekly planning and assist in lesson preparation by preparing resources.
- Display and remove pupils’ work as required.
- Assist with supervision during snack and lunch times.
- Supervise pupils in communal areas to maintain high standards of behaviour.
- Carry out playground, lunchtime, and after-school duties as allocated.
- Escort children to and from school buses at the start and end of the day, unless otherwise directed by the Head of Early Learning School.
- Provide duty cover for absent colleagues when requested by a line manager.
- Apply rewards and sanctions in line with the school’s Positive Behaviour Policy to maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline.
- Act as a positive role model for pupils.
- Promote the school positively at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and professional working environment.
- Refer all parent comments, questions, and complaints directly to the class teacher.
- Support pupils during lessons as directed by the class teacher.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant higher-level qualification or vocational training which can be practically applied to supporting pupil development.
- Minimum 3 years’ learning support experience in Education sector.
- Clear and effective communications skills, both verbal and written, with a confident and positive manner.
- A demonstrable passion for the profession.
- Confident, presentable, articulate and dynamic personality.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- A positive attitude to change
- A continuous improvement mindset.
