Job Description 

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic leader to manage the HVAC program. This is a full-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean/Director of EducationAs the leader of the program, the Program Director is responsible for managing the department using sound business principles and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and company policies and procedures. This position requires some evening and Saturday hours.  

 

The Program Director teaches in his/her assigned discipline, works with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the HVAC program, is the lead administrator for the department, and, as such, is responsible for faculty training and development, coordinating and administering the HVAC program and student outcomes and activities within the department. 

 

Requirements 

  • Documented expertise in academic subject area as demonstrated by data sheets, diplomas, transcripts, certifications, and/or résumés.  
  • Expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills.  
  • Ability to provide effective direction and leadership, and work effectively and collaboratively with others. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician
  • Prior postsecondary-related teaching experience of at least 2 years. 
  • An associate degree is required, preferably in HVAC, but can be in any field, with the completion of an accredited HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma. A bachelor degree is preferred but not required.
  • Certifications:
    • HVAC Certified/License in the state of Maryland
    • EPA Universal
