Key Responsibilities
- Gather, organize, and prepare essential documents, including insurance renewal applications.
- Assist in drafting, revising, proofreading, and managing legal documents such as contracts and certifications.
- Support the preparation of materials for conferences, meetings, and board activities.
- Manage incident reports, ensuring proper investigation, corrective actions, and closure.
- Compile and analyze data, preparing statistics, charts, graphs, and detailed summaries as needed.
- Organize and maintain legal documents, creating efficient retrieval systems and spreadsheets.
- Coordinate document collection, review, and production for discovery requests and audits.
- Maintain a calendar of significant dates, such as subpoenas, insurance renewals, and audits, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Manage schedules for the Chief Legal Officer and Staff Attorneys, keeping their days running smoothly.
- Coordinate board meetings by preparing agendas, ensuring document availability, and drafting minutes.
- Take on additional duties as assigned to support the legal team and advance Legacy’s mission.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent
- 3+ years in a corporate legal environment or law firm
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, paralegal studies, or a similar field
- Strong command of contract management lifecycle and template modification, redlining, and obtaining approvals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a service mindset.
- Well-founded grasp of contract maintenance and contract negotiations.
- Drafts documents for review by staff attorneys and CLO.
- Ability to properly calendar and track significant dates including but not limited to subpoenas, insurance renewals and audits.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and see them to completion.
- Familiarity with in-house legal department operations.
- Strong problem solving and analytic skills.
- Proven track record of success in healthcare legal operations
