Job Description
A US-based real estate investment management company with a global institutional client base is seeking an Investor Services Associate for its New York office. The firm currently has $9.6 billion of institutional real estate assets under management on behalf of 118 domestic and international clients in a vertically-integrated platform, performing all phases of the investment process, including on-site property management.
The Investor Services team is responsible for effectively communicating the firm’s investment strategy, product offerings, and platform capabilities to institutional investors, including corporate and public pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, family offices, consultants, and advisors.
As an Anaylst, you will work closely under the direction of the Head of North America Investor Relations to support business development, marketing, fundraising, and client servicing efforts. Over time, you will develop a deep understanding of the firm’s investment vehicles, due diligence and onboarding processes, and the dynamics of international real estate markets, enabling you to confidently communicate investment strategies and respond to investor inquiries. Responsibilities will include:
- Support the maintenance and growth of existing investor relationships and assist in sourcing new capital opportunities.
- Pro-actively identify and research prospective new sources of capital among the institutional investor community and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Collaborate with other client-facing members of the firm on marketing materials, fundraising efforts, and deal structuring.
- Assist in managing ongoing investor communications, reporting, and follow-ups to ensure high-quality client service.
- Participate in investor meetings, presentations, and due diligence sessions.
- Traveling required to attend relevant industry events and/or conferences in the US.
- Coordinate with internal teams across sales, marketing, and portfolio management.
- Provide market intelligence to key internal team members. Track investor activity and maintain CRM databases to support pipeline management and reporting.
- Plan and coordinate Sentinel-hosted industry networking events in conjunction with industry conferences and standalone events. Assist with coordination of activities at industry conferences (setting up tables, displays, giveways).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in investor relations, capital raising, or real estate.
- Strong internship experience may be considered towards this requirement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Highly motivated self-starter with a professional and outgoing demeanor.
- Must be comfortable networking and building relationships in professional settings
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to think quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Experience in coordinating events a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with Dynamo (CRM Software) is a plus
