Job Description

Job Summary

  • Examines, diagnoses, and treats diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums.

General Accountabilities

  • Uses masks, gloves, and safety glasses to protect patients and self from infectious diseases.
  • Examines teeth, gums, and related tissues to evaluate dental health, diagnose diseases or abnormalities, and plan appropriate treatments.
  • Administers anesthetics to patients during procedures to limit pain.
  • Performs preventive care and evaluates dental needs to determine changes or trends in patterns of dental disease.
  • Advises patients on preventive dental care.
  • Perform dental procedures such as fillings, crowns, extractions, and implants.
  • Stay up to date on developments in dentistry.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Doctor of Dental Surgery or comparable degree
  • Experience: 5-7 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
