
Collections & Customer Service Specialist II
Job Description
Yamaha Motor Finance – US has an excellent opportunity for a Collections and Customer Service Specialist to join our team in Kennesaw, GA. The Collection and Customer Service Specialist will perform collection activity including collection calling and incoming customer calls. Responsible for obtaining and updating insurance information and handling ACH transactions for the department.
What you'll be doing:
- Perform Out-bound Collection Calls/emails – Main focus on accounts 90 days and under.
- Enter notes about communications into the computer system.
- Update Credit Manager on any accounts of concern.
- Contact Distributor/YGC rep with regards to accounts of concern.
- Customer Service In-Bound Calls – Assist customers with questions and provides information about service.
- Identify and Correct Cash Applications – working with accounting staff to handle any misapplication of funds or missing checks.
- Reviewing of Suspense Items – Identify for proper application for accounting.
- Generate monthly dunning letters and repossession letters when required
- ACH – process daily manual ach payments and monthly ach extracts.
- Collect and monitor property tax payments.
- Submit departments invoices to open invoice system for payment.
- Performs other duties as required.
What you need to be successful:
- Requires high school diploma
- 2-3 years previous collection experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Superior customer service/relations etiquette
- Attention to details
- High level of organization skills
- Must have ability to work independently with minimal supervision
