Job Level: Mid Level Home District/Group: Kiewit Power Constructors District Department: Human Resources Market: Corporate Home Office Employment Type: Full Time Position Overview The District Training & Development Specialist will be responsible for supporting all District wide development programs and training through multiple modalities and spaces. Using the District Development Plan, they will drive creation of content and development initiatives within their respective courses. District Overview Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force.  Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar farm projects throughout North America. Location This position is based out of Lenexa, KS and Require 50% travel, 75% at peak. This is not a remote position. Responsibilities Work closely with the Power Development & Course Executive Sponsors to accomplish the Training Plan as outlined in the District Business Plan Use data-driven analysis to identify training gaps and areas of improvement Act as a consultant during business planning to incorporate solutions to identified training gaps Partner with corporate Talent Development to execute established staff and craft training programs in the districts Responsible for coordination, continuous improvement of the Power Experienced Core Course Porfolio and corresponding development programs: Project Engineer Course Superintendent Course Senior Operations Course Responsible for assisting in the development of the annual District Development Plan Hold projects accountable to rotations program, training plans, and People Wall management Travel up to 50% of the time to facilitate on-site training Qualifications 5+ years of experience working in a leadership role, training and developing individuals Strong team player and attitude to help others Passion for teaching and mentoring Ability to confidently speak and teach in the classroom environment Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills Fundamental understanding of the Adult Learning Model, preferred Experience in delivering content in-person, virtual and hybrid classrooms will set the candidate apart Various experiences in operations, learning management, and/or teaching preferred Construction operations experience is helpful for this role Associate Professional in Talent Development or similar certification is a plus #LI- A1 Other Requirements: Regular, reliable attendance Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
