Job Title: Project Coordinator
Department: Construction Services
Reports To: Manager, Project Coordination
Location: Royston, GA
Position Summary (major areas of contribution):
The Project Coordinator supports the successful planning, execution, and completion of multiple construction and installation projects. This role works closely with Senior Project Managers, customers, subcontractors, manufacturing facilities, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and according to company standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, scheduling, documentation, and coordination skills are essential. Occasional after-hours calls and email responsiveness may be required to support project needs.
Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage multiple small- to large-scale projects simultaneously.
- Serve as a primary point of contact between customers, subcontractors, manufacturing facilities, and internal teams.
- Assist in developing and executing project plans, schedules, and implementation timelines.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates and reporting.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project milestones are achieved on time.
- Prepare scopes of work, project documentation, and related contract materials.
- Obtain and review subcontractor/vendor bids in coordination with senior management.
- Issue and track purchase orders, change orders, and subcontractor documentation.
- Maintain accurate project files, recordkeeping systems, and reporting procedures.
- Maintain and publish installation schedules for assigned programs/projects.
- Track and distribute master punch reports and ensure timely resolution of punch items.
- Review and verify Schedule of Values (SOV) submissions.
- Collect required approvals and signatures for project-related documentation.
- Support quality control efforts for project/store builds.
- Train and delegate tasks to Project Support Representatives (PSRs) as needed.
- Maintain consistency and accuracy in required project documentation, such as Scope Walk Books, Pre-Construction Sets Punch Books Installation Packages.
- Step in to support project meetings, calls, and customer communication in the absence of the Senior Project Manager.
Minimum Qualifications / Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in construction project coordination or project administration.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
- Experience with AS400 or similar ERP/project management systems.
- Understanding of purchase order processes and basic accounting principles.
