ATI in Millersburg, OR is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Senior Leader to join our team. This role is a member of our EHS Management team, reporting directly to the Senior Director, EHS for the Specialty Alloys & Components Business unit. Primary Responsibilities
- Lead a team with a focus to manage and improve an industrial hygiene program (sample/monitor/assess/control) at two active manufacturing facilities in Oregon and be available to Safety Professionals from across ATI for consult. Direct the actions of IH consultants as needed. Set and implement a vision for the IH program in consultation with EHS Leadership. Act as the primary hiring person for this team and manage its budget/equipment/calibrations/resources.
- Use advanced scientific thought/tools to evaluate health risks and exposure potential and identify control solutions for those risks. Mentor and develop the IH team so they complement this approach.
- Work independently to manage workload but engage and communicate very collaboratively with others across the business.
- Lead a Radiation Safety Program by acting as the Radiation Safety Officer and directing the actions of an Assistant Radiation Safety Officer for two active manufacturing facilities in Oregon. Lead the Radiation Safety Committee in quarterly program status reviews and act as the primary contact for regulating agencies and licenses. Manage the licenses. Collaborate with the Facility Security Officer on radiation security matters.
- Co-chair at least one safety program team by establishing an audit process, performing audits, providing revision suggestions to plant standards and mentoring/motivating other auditors.
- Co-chair the corporate-wide SDS authoring team by directing local resources, ensuring timely updates, maintaining documents, reviewing and proposing toxicological references, safety measures and GHS compliance.
- Impacts the quality and effectiveness of training and competence across ATI SAC by managing the monthly EHSQ awareness training program by preparing, coordinating, editing and distributing material on a monthly basis. This requires a high degree of cross-functional communication.
