Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Pulmonology – Ambulatory & Hospital-Based Care
Lake Success, Massapequa & Hospital Coverage – St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center
We are a well-established pulmonology practice with over 30 years of experience, seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team. This role offers a balanced blend of hospital-based and outpatient care, with strong physician collaboration and support.

- Team of 10 physicians, including the Chief of Pulmonology

The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with this team, including the Chief of Pulmonology, providing collaborative inpatient and outpatient pulmonary care across all physicians’ patients.
Office Locations:
Pulmonology, Ambulatory Care – Lake Success
Pulmonology – Massapequa, Upcoming Flushing Location
Schedule & Coverage:
- Office Hours:
- Massapequa: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Lake Success: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Hospital Coverage:
- One weekend every third week
- Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient pulmonary care in collaboration with all physicians’ patients
- Manage outpatient follow-up visits and ongoing disease care
- Administer and manage injectable medications
- Deliver a blend of independent and physician-directed care
Qualifications:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in New York State
Required Certification (One of the Following)
- Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP)
Strongly preferred for this role - Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-PCNP)
State Licensure
- New York State NP license
- National board certification through:
- ANCC or
- AANP
- ACLS
- BLS
- ICU or critical care RN background (especially for new grads)
- Pulmonology experience preferred
- New graduates considered, particularly those with RN experience in ICU, critical care, or ventilator/pump management
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
