Job Description

The collection development assistant has the responsibility of supporting the collection design team from an operational point of view.
The main objectives are:
1 ) Manage the computerization process of the stylistic data of the reference collection.
2) ⇥Support the coordinator in the search for raw materials and independently prepare material orders, respecting the target price and the planning received.

  •  Correctly enter the stylistic data relating to the garment via the management system precisely and within the established times
  • Support the coordinator in the search for raw materials and independently prepare the orders of the materials
  • (Accessories, raw materials) of the sample garments, respecting the target price and the planning received.
  • Supervise the management of the materials relating to the prototypes
  • Create technical sketches respecting the stylistic and technical information that emerged during the fittings.
  •  Collaborate during the preparation activities for the presentation of the collections in operational terms (preparation samples for shooting, insertion of data / images necessary for online sales )
  • Cataloging sample fabrics/accessories respecting the instructions of the coordinator
  • Contributing to providing constant information with the offices closely linked to product development activities (technical office, pattern makers, purchases)
  • Based on the needs of the office, she/he can collaborate with the rest of the team on activities related to collection coordination.

Education & Experience

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or an equivalent academic qualification.

  • Professional Experience: Entry level/internship - less one year of experience

Hard Skills & Technical Expertise

  • Design & Graphics: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). 

Soft Skills & Mindset

  • Organization : Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while strictly adhering to deadlines.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of bridging the gap between creative teams and technical departments.

Languages:

  • Fluent italian (written and spoken)

  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is important, to effectively manage international collaborations and suppliers.
