Job Title: Project Manager - Surface Go Refresh Program
Location: On-Site DMPS Facilities
Reports To: Sterling Project Manager
Duration: 8 Weeks (Temporary, Full-Time)
Job Description: The Project Manager leads the refresh of 15,000 Surface Go laptops across DMPS high school sites and their feeder Middle and Elementary Schools, ensuring cleaning, testing, re-imaging, and validation within 8 weeks. This role manages staff, optimizes workflows, and ensures the project stays on pace and on budget.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and communicate activities, results, progress and risks with the Sterling Project Manager daily.
- Develop and track the timeline for 600 units/day throughput
- Supervise refresh and logistics, ensuring consistent performance across sites.
- Allocate resources (20 workstations, USB drives, cleaning supplies) and manage inventory within material budget.
- Monitor labor hours, attendance and productivity to optimize staffing efficiency
- Ensure quality through 5%-unit audits and compliance with standards.
- Resolve bottlenecks to maintain revenue target.
- Deliver final documentation for deployment readiness.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing large-scale IT hardware projects
- Strong leadership to oversee 20+ staff across multiple sites.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Surface devices and Windows re-imaging.
- Proficiency in budget management and project tools (e.g., Excel, Trello).
- Ability to optimize workflows within financial constraints.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
