Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safety First – Demonstrate/perform a commitment to safety by actively participating in training, working safely, and continuously working to improve the work environment.
- Maintains organization, cleanliness, and housekeeping (6S) within the work area at the highest degree possible.
- Ability to Work in fast paced environment in a breakdown situation safely.
- Ability to furnish their own hand tools.
- Strong knowledge of electrical tools and how to correctly use them.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow electrical drawings and verbal directions.
- Ability to identify wire sizes, feed sizes and conduit sizes.
- Construct and bend rigid conduit runs and pull circuits plant wide.
- Decent understanding of electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and LOTO.
- Ability to use electrical test equipment, multimeter, ammeter, megger.
- Ability to assist and work next to other maintenance men and engineers during troubleshooting.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma.
- Career technology school certification, or 1-5 years prior electrical work experience.
- Knowledge of electrical tools and safety.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely in a fast-paced production facility.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Awareness of surroundings and a pro-safety mindset.
- A high degree of hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to withstand a lot of walking and being on your feet for long periods of time.
- Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
- Ability to perform repetitive work more than 8 hours per day.
- Ability to read fine print and distinguish colors.
- Ability to reach machine controls five feet above the floor.
- Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
- Must wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel toed boots.
