About the Role:

As a Data Analyst I, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive informed business decisions. You will be responsible for collecting, processing, and performing basic analyses on data sets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Your work will support various departments by providing accurate and timely reports that enhance operational efficiency and strategic planning. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to present data findings clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with statistical programming languages like Python or R.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Prior internship or work experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role.
  • Knowledge of business operations and key performance indicators relevant to the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and outliers.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing data models and visualizations to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with team members and departments to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Document data processes and maintain data integrity throughout the analysis lifecycle.
  • Support ad hoc data requests and contribute to continuous improvement of data analysis methodologies.

Skills:

In this role, you will use your proficiency in Excel and SQL daily to extract, clean, and analyze data sets, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of information. Your analytical skills will enable you to identify meaningful trends and patterns that inform business strategies. Communication skills are essential as you will regularly present your findings through reports and visualizations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with data visualization tools and programming languages like Python or R will enhance your ability to create compelling, interactive dashboards and automate repetitive tasks. Additionally, your collaborative approach will help you work effectively with various teams to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights that support organizational goals.
