Team: Advisors Research Center (ARC) – Global Facilities India (GFI)

Overview
The Advisors Research Center (ARC) is a global team of researchers within Mastercard that delivers high‑quality, end‑to‑end research in support of Mastercard’s Advisors and Consulting Services. As part of ARC’s continued growth, Global Facilities India (GFI) supports global and regional ARC engagements by providing scalable, high‑quality quantitative research delivery.

This role sits within the GFI and supports the scripting, programming, testing, and launch of quantitative surveys for global research projects.



Role:

As a Research Analyst – Quantitative Research, Survey Scripting/Programming, you will work closely with ARC researchers, fieldwork teams, and data processing partners to ensure surveys are programmed accurately, function as intended, and are ready for fieldwork deployment.

Candidates for this position should have hands‑on experience with survey programming platforms and strong attention to detail.



Key responsibilities include:

- Program online surveys based on research questionnaires and specifications using Decipher, Confirmit or other scripting platforms

- Script advanced research studies such as Conjoint and MaxDiff analyses

Implement survey logic including skips, piping, randomization, quotas, and validations

- Ensure surveys are fully fieldwork-ready, including quota setup, sample integration, and deployment checks

- Support soft launches and resolve programming issues identified during testing or early fieldwork

- Support basic data validation, checking the data to ensure survey outputs are accurate, with a focus on data consistency.

- Maintain version control and change logs for programmed surveys

- Collaborate with researchers and fieldwork teams to clarify requirements and implement updates

- Ensure surveys meet ARC quality standards and respondents experience best practices

Collaborate with global teams to meet project timelines and quality expectations



Qualifications & Skills:

- At least 5 years of experience in survey scripting or programming within a market research environment, preferably a market research agency

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in survey scripting and programming

- Hands-on experience with survey programming platforms (e.g., Decipher / Forsta, Confirmit, or similar)

- Familiarity with common survey logic and online research methodologies

- Familiarity with HTML and CSS; basic knowledge of JavaScript or similar scripting languages is a plus

- Understanding of how programmed surveys feed into datasets and downstream analysis

- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

- Ability to manage multiple surveys and programming tasks simultaneously

- Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

- Experience supporting global or multi-market studies is a plus
