Assistant Construction Manager

Primary Function Under general supervision, performs assignments of limited scope which require the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related design engineering tasks.  Assignments involve some unusual or difficult problems requiring job knowledge and abilities beyond entry level. Responsibilities will include assisting to observe that the work is completed in general accordance with the drawings and specifications, daily field reporting, tracking contractor's installed quantities, witnessing tests, documenting test results and serving as liaison between engineer and contractor. Makes recommendations on project staffing.
