Job Requirements

General Responsibilities:

• Conduct and continuously update local market research.

• Sell incremental room nights for assigned properties.

• Inspect and show rooms for potential guests or companies.

• Develop and execute each hotel’s marketing plan.

• Achieve and exceed revenue targets for assigned properties.

• Assess market potential and develop new business opportunities while increasing revenue from existing 

customers.

• Conduct and enhance public relations.

• Make at least 50 sales calls per week and have 5-7 appointments per week

*Outside sales calls are required. This is not an order taking position and the successful candidate embraces and can develop and perform proactive selling strategies to build relationships with accounts to secure business.

*This is not a remote position. This is an on-property position

*Hilton/Hampton experience a plus


Primary Functions:

Revenue:

o Prepare and implement the hotel’s annual Sales and Marketing plan.

o Make sales calls to key accounts and potential clients, capitalizing on all revenue opportunities.

o Aggressively pursue revenue goals using yield management and revenue maximization tools.

Community Involvement:

o Develop and maintain relationships with the Chamber of Commerce, Convention and Visitors Bureau, 

other hotels, local schools, local government, and community organizations.

Quality:

o Guest Service: Work closely with the Front office and housekeeping staff to ensure that the hotel 

meets/exceeds H. House’ and brand standards for guest satisfaction.

Leadership:

o Leading: Motivate, coach and train team members, set goals and hold team members accountable, and 

provide feedback, rewards, and recognition.

Work Ethic: Demonstrate a high level of integrity, take ownership of personal and team actions, 

communicate effectively, promote collaboration, nurture a positive, professional work environment, 

and adhere to H House’ Standard Operating Procedures


Specific Responsibilities

• Send a daily end-of-day activity and accomplishment email to the General Manager, Front Office Manager, 

Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing, and House Director of Operations.

• Achieve revenue and RevPAR targets for all business segments.

• Establish monthly sales forecasts; keep management apprised to ensure a steady stream of business 

throughout the year.

• Develop and execute advertising programs within GM guidelines and approved budgets.

• Leverage cross-sell opportunities among all H. House hotels.

• Maintain high visibility in the surrounding community.

• Maintain efficient sales office procedures and accurate account files.

• Ensure all sales leads are followed up with future trace dates.

• Assist in the development and recommendation of rate strategies.

• Ensure compliance with the Sales and Marketing Bonus Plan.

• Ensure prompt and systematic service for all business accounts and groups.

• Identify and analyze competition, both locally and regionally, including weekly parking lot drives.

• Attend Chamber of Commerce monthly meetings and other community activities.

• Develop strategic relationships with third-party providers and referral sources.

• Continuously review and update web and third-party distribution channels to maximize exposure and room 

nights.

• Respond to all brand/lead inquiries within 2 hours
