We are looking for a HOPE Mentor to support and empower incarcerated youth in Indiana by providing them the skills needed to get a job and stay out of the correctional system. This position will be part-time, and on-site.
Only work authorizations that will not require sponsorship now or in the future will be considered.
What You’ll Do
Oversee HOPE mentors and organize facility career fairs
Build consistent, positive relationships with incarcerated youth
Assist with job readiness, resume building, and interview skills
Coordinate with facility staff, schools, and community resources
Provide weekly mentoring sessions to help mentees explore employment or educational opportunities, develop future paths, and instill a sense of hope
What You'll Need
Required:
High school diploma
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain professional boundaries
Interest in youth development, rehabilitation, or reentry support
Ability to engage in on-site activities with incarcerated youth and facility staff
Preferred:
Experience working with at-risk youth or in correctional settings
Familiarity with career readiness programs or community resources
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person.
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around the facility to attend meetings or events.

$17.10 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
