Job Description
The primary task of Receiver II is to coordinate raw material inventory flow with Procurement while assisting Receiver I when necessary.
Summary of Responsibility:
- Correctly tag all incoming raw materials for traceability.
- Use E1 to view raw materials ordered and enter all raw materials as they are received into inventory.
- Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Igear, and Outlook.
- Maintain storage trailer log in Microsoft Word.
- Use Microsoft Outlook to communicate with Purchasing Manager and Accounting.
- Maintain Washer FIFO system with incoming material
- Must work closely with the lab to ensure raw materials are released and meet specifications before placing them into production.
- Place hold tags on raw materials that are not released or meet ISO 9000 specifications.
- Use trailer lockout procedure with all trailers
- Receive all other materials and hardware and deliver them to the intended recipient.
- Receive five to fifteen loads of material on daily basis, and distribute them to the appropriate destinations.
- Fill and clean the heated room with natural rubber on daily basis.
- Coordinate pick-up of scrap friction once the trailer is loaded.
- Heat and offload railcars containing Tomene into 2 individual tanks.
- Coordinate with Rail Road to keep Tomene tanks full.
- Coordinate offload of Texol for the heat-room truck tanker.
- Unload trucks containing fabric, date, and mark fabric when received to ensure older material is used first.
- Unload carbon black from bulk trailers or railcars to correct silos for mixer production.
- Submit paperwork (i.e., printed receivers and shipping invoices) to the Materials Manager.
- Advise Material Manager of the low inventory of raw materials.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- High School diploma or GED. - Required
- Must read, write and communicate in English as it relates to this position & to safety regulations.
- Must agree to participate in company orientation and training.
- Must agree to wear proper clothes and shoes approved for this job.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job at capacities and workmanship standards established for this job.
- Must have two years of industrial mechanic experience.
- Must pass an in-house mechanical examination with a score of 70% or better.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to meet the Ergonomic as well as the Physical Base Score for this position.
- Lift/Carry 20 to 100 lbs.
- Lift bulky objects
- Push/pull 250 lbs. Static 25 lbs.
- Pinch minimum 6 lbs.
- Grasp minimum 45 lbs.
- Full range of motion required: Cervical, Shoulders, Elbows, Wrist, Fingers, Hands, Lumbo Sacral Spine, Knees, and Feet.
- Must pass company tests: Agility and Drug.
- Working Conditions: Inside and Outside, Extreme Heat and Cold, Moderate Noise, Moderate Vibrations, Wet, Humidity, Moving Mechanical Parts, Electric Shock, Chemical, Height, Explosives, Burns, Odors, Dust, Steps, Handrails, Slick Floors, Protrusions, Narrow Access.
- Any lifting over 70 lbs. must be completed with assistance, i.e. mechanical or individual.
- Exerting in excess of 70 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 lbs. frequently and/or in excess of 30 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
