DIETARY AIDE (70749)

The Dietary Aide supports the food service team in preparing and serving nutritious meals to residents in a nursing home setting. This role ensures that residents receive meals that meet dietary requirements while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service.

• Assist with the preparation and portioning of meals according to prescribed diets
• Serve meals and beverages to residents in dining areas or resident rooms
• Set up and break down dining areas, including tables and serving stations
• Follow special dietary instructions (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic, pureed diets)
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
• Store food properly and label items according to facility policies
• Interact respectfully with residents, accommodating their needs and preferences
• Assist in stocking supplies and reporting inventory needs
• Follow all safety, infection control, and food handling procedures

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous food service or healthcare experience is a plus but not required
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
