The Assistant Operations Manager plays a key leadership role in supporting the hotel’s Food & Beverage operations, with a primary focus on EPC, The Market, and Banquets. This leader will help oversee daily operations, support colleague development, and ensure seamless service execution across multiple outlets and events. While the role is primarily focused on Food & Beverage, this position may occasionally support Front Office or Housekeeping operations based on business needs, providing valuable cross-functional exposure and leadership development opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who leads with empathy, thrives on collaboration, and is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences through thoughtful hospitality and operational excellence.
Job Functions May Include:
Support the day-to-day operations of EPC Restaurant, The Market, and Banquets to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction
Lead by example in delivering Hyatt’s Culture of Care through empathy, inclusion, and collaboration
Create memorable dining and event experiences through thoughtful, anticipatory service
Coach, mentor, and develop colleagues to drive engagement, accountability, and performance
Support staffing, scheduling, training, and operational planning to maintain service excellence
Partner with culinary and operational teams to ensure smooth execution of restaurant and banquet services
Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently while maintaining a high level of hospitality
Lead pre-shift meetings and daily team communication efforts
Ensure compliance with brand standards, food safety practices, operating procedures, and applicable regulations
Occasionally support Front Office and Housekeeping operations as needed to ensure overall hotel success

- Previous upscale dining experience required
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
Refined verbal communication skills
Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Must be 21 years or older
Licenses & Certifications:
Must possess or be able to obtain DABS certification
Must maintain a current Food Handler permit in accordance with local regulations
