ABOUT IIX GLOBAL
IIX (Impact Investment Exchange) is a Singapore-headquartered pioneer in impact investing, connecting capital markets with sustainable development. For over a decade, IIX has been building the infrastructure for impact — structuring innovative financial instruments, running donor-funded development programs, and developing digital platforms that serve impact investors, enterprises, and communities across Asia and beyond.
Our work spans impact-linked securities, blended finance, gender-lens investing, and climate finance — always with the goal of mobilizing private capital for social and environmental good. We are a lean, mission-obsessed team. Everyone here wears multiple hats, moves fast, and cares deeply about the work. If that energizes you, you’ll thrive at IIX.
ROLE PURPOSE
The Associate Director / Senior Vice President, Investor Relations is a senior individual contributor and functional lead responsible for IIX’s end-to-end investor engagement across the full capital lifecycle. This role carries executive-level accountability for two mandates running in parallel: the ongoing management of investor relations across IIX’s five live Women’s Livelihood Bond (WLB) series, and the strategic build-out of the IR function for the proposed Orange Climate Fund from pre-first-close through sustained LP management.
This is not a coordinator role. The AD/SVP owns strategy, execution, and quality across all investor-facing output — from relationship architecture and reporting frameworks to fundraising engagement and impact communications. Success is measured by the strength of IIX’s LP relationships, the integrity of its reporting, and the investor-readiness of the new fund’s IR infrastructure from day one.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Investor Relationship Management
• Serve as the senior relationship owner for IIX’s WLB bondholders and prospective Orange Climate Fund LPs — maintaining proactive, high-trust engagement across the full instrument lifecycle
• Design and own the investor relationship architecture: preferences register, reporting cadences, key contact mapping, covenant communication protocols, and relationship risk tracking
• Manage investor queries, annual reviews, and due diligence processes with authority and accuracy; coordinate legal, finance, and investment teams as needed
• Lead investor onboarding for the proposed Orange Climate Fund — building protocols from pre-first close through deployment that set a professional standard for each incoming LP
• Proactively surface re-up interest, co-investment appetite, and relationship risks to the Senior Director, Sustainable Finance and fundraising leadership, translating LP signals into actionable intelligence
2. Investor Reporting & Communications
• Own and produce all periodic investor reporting across IIX’s active programs: financial performance, portfolio updates, impact metrics, ESG data, use-of-proceeds, and regulatory disclosures
• For the Orange Climate Fund, architect the full investor reporting framework from the ground up — capital account communications, NAV formats, impact dashboards, and LP portal standards — in close collaboration with finance and investment teams
• Translate complex financial and impact data into polished, compelling investor communications that synthesize gender equity metrics, climate outcomes, and SDG alignment for technically diverse LP audiences
• Maintain and govern the investors’ data room: ensure completeness, accuracy, and version control across all investor-facing documents including capital statements, impact reports, audit documentation, and filings
• Ensure all investor communications meet regulatory and fiduciary standards across all relevant jurisdictions; work closely with legal counsel on disclosure obligations
3. Fundraising Engagement & LP Pipeline
• Take an active leadership role in prospective investor engagement during the Orange Climate Fund’s pre-close and first close process — owning key LP relationships and driving pipeline conversion alongside senior leadership
• Lead the preparation and continuous refinement of investor-facing materials: pitch materials, Q&A frameworks, DDQ responses, data room organisation, and bespoke investor presentations
• Own the due diligence coordination function for prospective LPs, delivering a seamless and professional experience from initial inquiry through commitment
• Maintain disciplined pipeline tracking and reporting — providing senior leadership with accurate, real-time visibility into LP pipeline status, conversion probabilities, and engagement quality
4. Sustainability & Impact Positioning
• Develop and maintain deep fluency in IIX’s Orange Seal framework, Green-Orange Bond thesis, gender-lens investment strategy, and climate impact measurement methodology — applying this expertise consistently and authoritatively across all investor communications
• Monitor the evolving landscape of sustainable finance reporting standards (SFDR, TCFD, GRI, IFC Performance Standards, gender metrics) and proactively advise on implications for IIX’s reporting obligations and LP expectations
• Drive continuous improvement in IIX’s impact reporting standards and templates to meet the expectations of DFI, foundation, and institutional LP audiences at the highest level
• Represent IIX at targeted investor events, sustainable finance forums, and sector convenings — contributing to IIX’s visibility and credibility among global impact investors
5. Investment Team Partnership & Governance
• Serve as the authoritative bridge between IIX’s investment and credit team and its LP base — translating portfolio developments, credit events, and impact milestones into investor-appropriate communications with precision and speed
• Maintain real-time awareness of WLB borrower performance, covenant compliance, and portfolio risk in close collaboration with the credit team; lead material event communications to bondholders
• Partner with the investment team on the Orange Climate Fund to understand deal pipeline, portfolio construction logic, and impact thesis; translate this into investor narratives that are both accurate and compelling
• Feed LP sentiment, reporting gaps, and relationship risks back into the investment team’s communication and reporting practices; ensure LP expectations actively shape how the team structures its output
• Contribute to governance processes including board-level LP reporting, investor advisory committee preparation, and regulatory filing coordination
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience
• 12–15 years of experience in investor relations, fund client management, or institutional investor servicing within a fund or asset management context — private credit, blended finance, impact debt, real assets, or sustainable fixed income
• Demonstrated track record as a senior IR professional who has owned end-to-end investor relationship management and reporting in a functioning fund environment, with clear accountability (not just coordination) for LP outcomes
• Substantive experience managing at least three of the following investor types: DFIs / multilateral development banks, foundations (PRI or impact-first), family offices with sustainability mandates, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, or institutional investors in ESG or impact strategies
• Proven leadership in fundraising processes — including LP engagement strategy, DDQ architecture, data room governance, and first-close execution — ideally for a fund with a blended finance or impact mandate
• Significant experience working with investors and counterparts across Asia and/or Africa; fluency with the regulatory, market, and investor dynamics of these geographies is essential given IIX’s LP base and operating footprint
Technical Skills
• Mastery of fund IR mechanics: capital account management, NAV reporting, waterfall communications, covenant monitoring, and LP agreement interpretation
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to produce investor-grade output independently and adapt register across DFI, foundation, and institutional LP audiences
• Strong command of impact measurement frameworks and sustainable finance reporting standards (SFDR, TCFD, GRI, gender metrics, SDG alignment) and their application to investor communications
• Advanced proficiency in investor data management, CRM systems, and data room platforms; comfortable adopting and configuring digital and AI-enabled tools in a lean, fast-moving environment
• Working knowledge of fund legal structures, subscription documentation, and cross-jurisdictional regulatory requirements relevant to private funds operating across Asia, the US, and Europe
• CFA, CAIA, or MBA strongly preferred; equivalent demonstrated expertise will be considered
The Person
• Operates with full ownership mentality — sets standards, resolves blockers, and delivers without hand-holding or escalation for routine decisions
• A relationship architect who builds durable credibility with sophisticated institutional investors, not just transactional rapport
• Highly organised and deadline-disciplined, with the ability to manage multiple reporting cycles, LP relationships, and fundraising workstreams simultaneously in a lean-team environment where investor timelines do not flex
• Commercially astute — understands LP motivations, fund economics, and the fundraising dynamics of impact and blended finance vehicles
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity: able to build frameworks from scratch, make sound judgments with incomplete information, and adapt as the fund matures
THE PREM FRAMEWORK
Every IIX team member is a PREM professional. We look for these qualities in everyone we hire:
P - Passionate
Mission-driven & purpose-led
R - Resilient, Thrives under pressure & ambiguity
E - Equitable, Champions fairness & inclusion
M - Maverick, Bold, entrepreneurial thinker
WHY IIX
• Work at the intersection of finance and impact — your contribution directly enables IIX’s mission
• A senior mandate with real influence: you will own IIX’s LP relationships and IR infrastructure, not assist someone else who does
• High-trust, lean team environment — minimal bureaucracy, maximum ownership
• Direct collaboration with IIX’s Senior Director of Sustainable Finance, CIO, and CEO — you will have real visibility and real influence
• A culture that takes PREM values seriously — you will be seen, heard, and valued
HOW TO APPLY
To apply, please send your CV and a substantive cover note (one page maximum). In your cover note, address the following:
• A specific investor relationship or reporting challenge you have owned at a senior level — what you built, what broke, and what you fixed
• How you have engaged DFIs, foundations, or institutional impact investors — and what you understand about what those LPs actually need from a fund IR function
• What draws you to IIX’s mandate specifically, not just impact investing generally
IIX is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive team that reflects the communities we serve.
