Insurance Verification Specialist

DeCoach Recovery is a leading addiction treatment center located in Sharonville, OH, dedicated to providing compassionate care and effective solutions for individuals battling addiction. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to work at our corporate headquarters in Sharonville.

Job Overview: As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you will confirm patient insurance eligibility, benefits and coverage requirements prior to medical services. You will ensure that the patient's medical records are updated at all times, communicate financial responsibility to the appropriate staff members to minimize claim denials. This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical terminology and high-volume data entry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Verify Insurance Coverage 
2. Obtain pre-authorizations, referrals, or pre-certifications for treatments
3. Accurately update patient information in their electronic health record
4. Maintain compliance with HIPAA
5. Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to streamline revenue cycle workflows and improve efficiency.
6. Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and insurance policies affecting revenue cycle operations.
7. Analyze data related to revenue cycle performance.

Qualifications:

• -Associates degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• -Proven experience (2+ years) working in healthcare revenue cycle management or medical billing.
• -Strong knowledge of medical billing practices, including CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• -Familiarity with insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
• -Proficiency in using healthcare billing and accounting software
• -Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• -Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• -Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders.
• -Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
