
Material & Corrosion Prevention Engineer Milano
Job Description
ISS International S.p.A. is currently looking for a Material & Corrosion Prevention Engineer to join an important Oil & Gas development project based in the Milan area, Italy.
The selected professional will provide technical support for material selection and corrosion prevention strategies for Oil & Gas assets during design, procurement, construction, and operational phases, with a focus on integrity, safety, compliance, and long-term performance.
The role includes review of material specifications, corrosion control documentation, vendor packages, welding and material certificates, coating systems, corrosion monitoring strategies, and support to integrity and failure analysis activities.
Main Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
At least 10 years of experience in Materials / Corrosion Engineering after graduation
Proven experience in material selection and corrosion prevention within Oil & Gas projects
Good knowledge of metallurgy, corrosion mechanisms, coatings, linings, cathodic protection, chemical inhibition, and integrity principles
Experience in review of MSDs, CCDs, MRs, MTOs, TBEs, MTCs and WPS/PQR documentation
Familiarity with ASME, ISO, API and related standards
Experience in offshore and/or onshore Oil & Gas environments
Exposure to RBI, corrosion monitoring, failure analysis and root cause investigations is a plus
Good command of English

Duration: 1 year, renewable
Working schedule: 8 hours/day – 5 days/week
