Summary

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for overseeing state sales in all Wyld product channels with a focus on major retailers. You will be responsible for your own sales quota for total state sales. As State Manager you will work with our distribution partners and independently to secure new placements, develop existing business, and educate our customers on our brand and products. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sale strategies 
    • Utilize in-person and phone sales calls to prospect new business and build existing accounts 
      • Work with distributor partners to gain placements in on and off premise accounts 
    • Develop distributor rep knowledge about the product and ensure Wyld is front of mind on their sales calls 
    • Build relationships with key accounts and develop strategies to increase product velocity and shelf presence 
    • Work with retailers to implement promotions and incentives 
    • Attend relevant trade shows and events 
    • Keep partners informed of new products, upcoming innovations, and effective sales strategies 
    • Monitors competitors to gauge market trends and defend market share 
  • Analyzes sales data and reporting 
    • Analyze product and sales data monthly to find opportunities for growth while also following market trends
    • Attend sales meetings to discuss trends, data, goals and provide feedback on industry shifts 
  • Oversee distribution performance 
    • Clearly communicate with distribution partner leaders and sales reps ensuring strategic information is funneled to the appropriate team members
    • Responsible for the engagement and development of distributor partner reps with product knowledge
    • Provide coaching to ensure they have the resources necessary to secure placements 
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs 



Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • 5+ years of experience in direct sales, sales operations, or related field 
  • CPG and wholesaler management experience are a plus 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to professionally interact with managers, staff and officers at all levels of the organization with diplomacy and professionalism 
  • Not afraid to take ownership; demonstrates a growth mindset
  • Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company 
  • Ability to present brand information in a clear and engaging manner 
  • Will be required to submit to a background check and motor vehicle reporting check 
  • Travel through territory will be required (up to 90%)
