Fleet Assistant/ Parts INV Clerk
Position Purpose
Provide clerical services that expedite and maintain repair and work orders and support fleet services staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency and excellent customer service.
Essential Job Functions
- Ordering and maintaining parts inventory.
- Checking the oil in each bus monthly.
- Check fire extinguisher and initial tag on each bus and in Transportation building monthly.
- Repair seats on the buses as needed.
- Perform light mechanical work as needed.
- Work this computer software programs.
- Monitor and maintain fuel levels in the fuel tanks.
- Assist with driving bus routes.
- Deliver and retrieve buses from vendors and on road calls as needed.
- Willing to adjust your work shift during severe weather conditions.
- Required to wear safety toe boots/ shoes.
- Have a small set of hand tools.
Equipment
Use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copier and fax machines, calculator, and telephone.
Travel Requirements
Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Pay Rates
$26.24 per hour.
Work Schedule
8 hours per day.
260 days per year.

- Valid Indiana State CDL Class B license with a P and S endorsement
Education
- High School Diploma.
Experience
Previous experience is preferred.
