Position Overview:
You will join a multidisciplinary team responsible for testing components, assemblies, and complete vehicles to ensure performance, durability, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will lead the development, execution, and analysis of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing across a range of powersports product lines. You will work closely with engineers, test teams, and external labs to support certification activities and resolve technical issues. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the quality and compliance of innovative products while gaining exposure to diverse testing environments and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development, execution, and analysis of EMC/EMI test strategies for components and vehicles.
• Plan and coordinate certification testing activities with certified external EMC laboratories.
• Execute test procedures and document results through detailed technical reports.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and compliance status to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product teams to troubleshoot and resolve non-compliance with EMC standards.
• Set up and operate laboratory equipment such as antennas, analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Ensure proper operation of test equipment and lab facilities.
• Prioritize and schedule test requests to support project timelines and business needs.
• Support additional testing activities including structural, NVH (noise vibration harshness), and electro-dynamic shaker testing as needed.
• Maintain lab organization, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of EMC/EMI lab capabilities and processes.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma required; Associate degree (2-year) in a technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience. (EMC preferred)
• Working knowledge of test methods, standards, and certification qualifications.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, RF amplifiers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes preferred.
• Understanding of electrical systems and fundamentals.
• Experience with vehicle- or system-level testing and test setup coordination.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work overtime as needed.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 40 lbs and operating in lab/shop environments.
Willingness to operate Polaris vehicles.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $25.00 to $33.00 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime. Individual pay and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
