🌟 About the role
As Finance Manager, you will report directly to the Finance Director of DFDS Spain and play a key role in ensuring high-quality financial operations and reporting, tax compliance, and team leadership.
You’ll act as a trusted partner across the business, ensuring our accounting processes are robust, compliant, and continuously improving.
🎯 What you’ll be doing
Ensure accuracy of accounting records (Balance Sheet, P&L, accruals, etc.)
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
Perform financial analysis and ensure data integrity
Prepare and present financial statements and annual accounts
Take full ownership of tax compliance (VAT, Corporate Tax, Forms 111, 115, etc.)
Liaise with HQ Finance, auditors, and external stakeholders
Oversee credit control and cash flow management
Lead or support ERP implementation and finance transformation projects
Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
Manage and develop the accounting team
👤 Who we’re looking for
You are an ambitious and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic, international environment. You combine strong technical expertise with a proactive and hands-on mindset.
✅ Your background:
Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Accounting
Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience (AP / AR / Treasury)
At least 2 years in a team leadership role
Solid knowledge of tax regulations and compliance
Knowledge of IFRS is a plus
Experience in Dynamics 365 ERP will be a plus
Fluent in English and Spanish
Second Language as French will be a plus
Experience in an international organization is highly valued
