Full-Time HVAC Technician

Peotone CUSD 207U is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Full-Time HVAC Technician at Peotone CUSD 207U. 
 
Salary/Pay:

• Starting wage of $30 per hour. Rate is negotiable based on previous relevant experience and skill level as established by the Board of Education.
• Full-Time

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC certification or licensure required.
• EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants.
• 3�5 years of experience in HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) preferred.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration principles.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work in confined spaces, on rooftops, and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders and use hand and power tools safely.

 Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Pass a pre-employment medical exam and Federal and State fingerprint/background clearance
