CHEMICAL HEALTH COUNSELOR
Secondary School Sites
Mankato Area Public Schools has a full-time, (1.00 FTE) position as a Chemical Health Counselor available beginning with the 2026-27 school year.
Job Summary:
Works with the building administration and the counseling office to meet the social, emotional, and behavioral health of students who demonstrate areas of need or exposure to chemical use or dependency. Through individual and group counseling services and outside services and supports, develops alternative solutions to support informed decision-making in order for student learning to continue in a safe educational environment. Qualifications:
- BA or BS in related field
- Completion of approved chemical dependency training program including LADC certification preferred
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
- Prior experience preferred
