Summary:
Install, service, and repair automatic doors, glass systems, and related hardware in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings. Provide reliable customer service while ensuring safe, high-quality work.
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair automatic sliding, swinging, revolving, and specialty door systems
- Perform glazing work including storefronts, curtain walls, insulated units, tempered glass, and door lite replacements
- Respond to 24‑hour emergency service calls on a rotating schedule, providing safe and efficient on‑site solutions
- Conduct preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and system upgrades
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hardware issues with accuracy
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
- Maintain detailed service reports, documentation, and customer communication
- Uphold company standards for professionalism, safety, and workmanship
Requirements:
- Experience in construction, glazing, or door systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of automatic doors and low-voltage systems is an asset
- Ability to read basic drawings/blueprints
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable with physical work, heights, and outdoor conditions
