Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Kitchen Technician to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the optimal performance of all commercial kitchen equipment. You will work to minimize equipment downtime, ensure compliance with safety standards, and support the smooth operation of our kitchen facilities through systematic maintenance and technical expertise.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigeration units, dishwashers, grills, and ventilation systems
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement timely repairs to minimize operational disruptions
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment longevity and reliability
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance in detailed records
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment meets local health and safety regulations in the UAE
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to understand equipment issues and provide technical guidance
- Assist with the installation and setup of new kitchen equipment
- Maintain a well-organized inventory of spare parts and tools
- Respond promptly to emergency equipment failures and provide on-call support as needed
- Stay current with industry best practices and equipment manufacturer guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial kitchen equipment maintenance and repair
- Strong technical knowledge of kitchen appliances and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with UAE safety regulations and compliance requirements (preferred)
- Certification in commercial kitchen equipment maintenance or related technical field (preferred)
- Experience working in hospitality, food service, or catering environments (preferred)
- Ability to read technical manuals and equipment schematics
