Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily support across all functional areas of Human Resources while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies
- Promote employee engagement through regular interaction with team members, including shop floor presence, meetings, and open communication
- Administer and communicate company policies, procedures, and programs clearly and consistently
- Support management in the implementation of progressive disciplinary actions
- Address employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll, schedules, uniforms, and other HR-related topics
- Monitor and reconcile authorized versus actual headcount to ensure accuracy
- Coordinate the internal job posting and selection process, including interviews and candidate evaluations
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel, medical, and I-9 records
- Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities
- Manage unemployment claims, including timely submissions and representation during hearings and appeals
- Process employee separations, including documentation and exit interviews
- Conduct and document internal investigations in a fair and consistent manner
- Ensure compliance with I-9 requirements, including reverification processes
- Serve as a liaison between employees and management to support effective communication
- Participate in and promote company safety initiatives and programs
- Assist with employee recognition and appreciation events
- Support timekeeping and attendance processes to ensure accurate payroll
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–3 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking ability
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
