Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support across all functional areas of Human Resources while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies
  • Promote employee engagement through regular interaction with team members, including shop floor presence, meetings, and open communication
  • Administer and communicate company policies, procedures, and programs clearly and consistently
  • Support management in the implementation of progressive disciplinary actions
  • Address employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll, schedules, uniforms, and other HR-related topics
  • Monitor and reconcile authorized versus actual headcount to ensure accuracy
  • Coordinate the internal job posting and selection process, including interviews and candidate evaluations
  • Maintain accurate and confidential personnel, medical, and I-9 records
  • Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities
  • Manage unemployment claims, including timely submissions and representation during hearings and appeals
  • Process employee separations, including documentation and exit interviews
  • Conduct and document internal investigations in a fair and consistent manner
  • Ensure compliance with I-9 requirements, including reverification processes
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and management to support effective communication
  • Participate in and promote company safety initiatives and programs
  • Assist with employee recognition and appreciation events
  • Support timekeeping and attendance processes to ensure accurate payroll
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2–3 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking ability
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
