Payment Officer in Cyprus - FX

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Payment Officer in the foreign exchange (FX) sector based in Cyprus. Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both internal and external policies.
• Maintain and update transaction records in financial systems to ensure accuracy and availability for audits and reviews.
• Liaise with banks, clearing houses, and other financial institutions to resolve payment processing issues promptly.
• Assist in the reconciliation of payment accounts, identifying discrepancies and ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate with internal departments to enhance payment processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Stay informed on industry regulations and payment processing best practices to ensure compliance and reduce risk.

Essential Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role within the financial sector, ideally within FX or banking.
• Strong numerical skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. Proficiency in Greek would be an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to prioritise tasks efficiently.
