Job Description

The Senior Marketing Operations Specialist improves and scales how work gets done across the IDEAL Industries Marketing teams by owning core systems, clarifying cross‑functional workflows, and leading disciplined execution.


This role serves as the system owner for IDEAL Industries’ Digital Asset Management platform (Aprimo) and the operational lead for marketing project management through Monday.com. With foresight and a strong understanding of how marketing teams operate, this role designs, governs, and continuously improves systems and processes that connect daily work to broader business and brand priorities.


This position will use insight to shape cross‑functional work, build clarity and alignment across teams, and translate insight into action and outcomes, improving efficiency, quality, and on‑time delivery across marketing communications, brand, and creative teams. They will sit within our corporate Integrated Marketing Group (IMG) and serve both the IMG and the IDEAL Industries business unit subsidiaries of IDEAL Electrical, Anderson Power, and Enatel. 


Essential Job Functions: 


Digital Asset Management (Aprimo) Ownership

  • Own and continuously improve the Aprimo Digital Asset Management platform, serving as the system owner with full administrative responsibility.
  • Design and optimize DAM architecture including metadata, taxonomy, workflows, permissions, and governance to improve usability, compliance, and scalability.
  • Lead cross‑functional DAM governance execution, aligning IMG team and business unit partners around clear standards and ways of working.
  • Apply insight from usage patterns, gaps, and feedback to evolve governance and improve how assets are created, managed, and reused.
  • Own user management and training to ensure compliance with established governance.

 

Marketing Project & Workflow Management (Monday.com)

  • Optimize Monday.com as the central system for marketing project execution, with a focus on clarity, alignment, and accountability.
  • Build standardized workflows, intake models, and dashboards that create shared visibility across teams and leadership.
  • Lead cross‑functional execution by clarifying ownership, dependencies, and priorities across marketing communications, creative, and brand teams.
  • Translate insight into action by identifying bottlenecks, capacity risks, or inefficiencies and implementing system or process improvements.
  • Actively manage key strategic project execution ensuring alignment and documentation happen from end-to-end across projects and teams.

 

Operational Excellence & Enablement

  • Continuously improve marketing systems and processes using insight, foresight, and feedback to support evolving team and business needs.
  • Build clarity and alignment across functions by documenting standards, workflows, and expectations.
  • Shape how work gets done across the IMG, enabling teams to execute effectively without unnecessary meetings or friction.
  • Connect operational insight to measurable outcomes, including improved delivery timelines, asset quality, adoption, and compliance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of Digital Asset Management principles, including metadata, taxonomy, governance, and content lifecycle management.
  • Strong marketing project management and workflow design skills.
  • Proven ability to administer and optimize work management platforms (Monday.com or similar).
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and process‑driven, with the ability to balance structure and flexibility.
  • Excellent communicator who can work effectively across creative, technical, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable influencing without authority and driving adoption through clarity and trust.

 

Qualifications:

  • Four‑year college degree in marketing, communications, business, information systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, digital asset management, project management, or related roles.
  • Hands‑on experience administering an enterprise DAM platform (Aprimo strongly preferred).
  • Hands‑on experience administering Monday.com or comparable work management software.
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience supporting cross‑functional marketing or creative teams.

Working Conditions

The physical demands below are required to perform the essential functions of the position. 

  • Effectively perform work in an office environment.
  • Remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about work area.
  • Effectively communicate and exchange accurate information so that others will understand.
  • Observe details at close range, such as documents, computer screens, tools, products.
  • May travel domestically and internationally on company business (10% of time)
  • Working hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 5PM; may require overtime.
