We’re looking for a seasoned, strategic sales leader to guide a team of Business Development Officers (BDOs) driving growth across our Practice Finance portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of leadership, market strategy, and specialized healthcare lending.
The Role
As a Practice Finance Regional Sales Manager, you will lead a geographically dispersed team of Business Development Officers responsible for originating and growing specialty healthcare lending relationships. You’ll shape regional strategy, drive performance, and ensure your team delivers strong, profitable growth aligned to business goals.
This role offers high visibility, national exposure, and the opportunity to influence one of the bank’s specialized growth areas.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a team of Business Development Officers across a designated region, providing coaching, performance management, and day-to-day leadership
- Drive business development strategy to achieve loan growth, revenue, and profitability goals within the Practice Finance portfolio
- Establish clear performance metrics and hold the team accountable across activity, pipeline, and production (calls, applications, commitments, and funded volume)
- Partner closely with Regional Healthcare Executives to ensure seamless client transitions and maximize cross-sell opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare industry centers of influence, associations, and referral partners
- Identify market trends and competitive dynamics to inform strategy and maintain a strong market position
- Ensure deep expertise across healthcare commercial credit solutions, including Practice Finance and SBA-related programs
- Maintain portfolio growth and profitability while managing risk and aligning with underwriting standards
- Represent the business in the market, including travel alongside BDOs and attendance at industry events and conferences
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of banking or financial services experience
- 5+ years of leadership/management experience
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Deep knowledge of healthcare practice finance lending and underwriting policies
- Advanced expertise in sales strategy, business development, and relationship management
- Strong understanding of banking products, operations, and market dynamics
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams
- Demonstrated success partnering with internal stakeholders and external referral networks
- Established relationships with healthcare industry centers of influence
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and executive presence
- High level of professional judgment, tact, and influence
Additional Information
- Travel: Expected 3–4 times per month within the region and nationally for industry events
- Market Exposure: Broad geographic responsibility with significant client and partner interaction
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $143,905.00 - $169,300.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
