New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking a Supervisor, Pressure and Measurement to lead and coordinate field operations for the Company’s transmission system by managing workforce scheduling, maintenance activities, and system integrity to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations. Oversee inspections, system monitoring, and emergency response while supporting Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) operations and maintaining critical infrastructure performance.
Major Responsibilities:
Oversee the operation and maintenance of transmission systems, metering and regulator stations, and LNG facilities to ensure system reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Plan, schedule, and dispatch union workforce and contractors to support maintenance, construction, and emergency response activities.
Manage inspections including regulators, critical valves, line patrols, leak surveys, transmission mark-outs, and industrial meter set installations and maintenance.
Monitor third-party construction activity near transmission assets to ensure protection of Company facilities.
Maintain proper system conditions, including odorant levels and pressure settings across transmission and distribution systems.
Operate, inspect, calibrate, and maintain telemetry, remote control systems, and pipeline gas heaters.
Coordinate LNG operations and provide off-hours supervisory coverage as required.
Manage materials procurement and inventory control in alignment with operational needs and budget requirements.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and Company safety and environmental regulations.
Support system reliability by collaborating with Gas Control, Distribution, Utility Services, and Engineering on pressure management and system control issues.
Oversee construction and maintenance of large industrial meter sets, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
Partner with Engineering to review plans, support feasibility assessments, and coordinate project execution to optimize cost and efficiency.
Supervise contractors to ensure quality work, safety compliance, and minimal operational disruption.
Support facility security efforts during heightened security conditions.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
Conduct economic and feasibility analyses to support operational and business decisions.
Provide coaching, leadership, and technical guidance to team members to promote skill development and safe work practices.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in gas operations, transmission systems, utilities, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Demonstrated experience managing field operations, workforce scheduling, and safety/compliance programs.
Strong knowledge of gas transmission systems, regulatory requirements, and utility operations preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful connections and collaborate effectively across operations, engineering, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Ability to think critically and drive continuous improvement, including identifying efficiencies, implementing process enhancements, and supporting innovation in field operations.
Flexible to provide company off hour duty supervision.
DOT physical required.

This position is deemed safety-sensitive under the U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s (PHMSA) regulations. Among other things, employees in this position are subject to drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment testing, random testing, reasonable suspicion testing and post-accident testing. PHMSA-required drug tests include testing for marijuana. The use of marijuana, or testing positive for marijuana, is disqualifying and will lead to removal from performing safety-sensitive functions as well as disciplinary action.

Other Details:
Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $92,500- $125,000.Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
