Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Value Stream Manager. 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year.

What you’ll do:

Eaton is currently seeking a Value Stream Manager to join our team. This position will be based at our Carol Stream, IL site with onsite work available. If candidate is not located within 50 miles of Carol Stream, IL relocation will be considered. 
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for overall management of production operations in Carol Stream. Overall responsibility for leading manufacturing team in achieving customer satisfaction through lead time reduction, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals aligned with key metrics. Coordinates with all groups to meet customer requirements. Drives performance and deploys continuous improvement to achieve or exceed financial plans, employee engagement and strategic goals. Leverages resources and motivates personnel to create high performance culture.
Job Responsibilities:
•    Manages and directs all manufacturing activities to ensure completion of customer requirements.
•    Assesses performance indicators and takes appropriate actions to ensure schedule, cost and quality goals are met.
•    Assures policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured product.
•    Provides leadership and commitment in support of continuous improvement in quality, productivity and delivery performance through the deployment of continuous improvement framework.
•    Assures that Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship.
•    Evaluates operational performance of the value stream in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, etc.
•    Develops budgets and resource plans, and monitors performance, to achieve product delivery and cost requirements.
•    Coordinates and assists with plant initiatives, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across enterprise.
•    Achieve labor productivity, OEE improvements, and lead time reduction efforts to drive factory cost reductions.
•    Data driven decision making as a requirement.
•    Development of front line leaders is a key responsibility.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
•    Minimum of three (3) years experience in Operations/Manufacturing.
•    Minimum of three (3) years manager of people experience or other significant leadership experience.
•    Minimum of one (1) year of continuous improvement or Lean experience.
•    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred qualifications:
•    Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts
•    Bilingual in Spanish and English 
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•    Leadership, coaching and influence management skills
•    Ability to prioritize and multi-task
•    Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes
•    Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts (production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving)
•    Safety First Behavior as a leadership expectation, along with Customer Focused Thinking tied to quality, delivery, and structured problem solving.

Skills:

Position Criteria:
•    Can identify linkages between functions, impact of actions on functional decisions downstream, and how multiple functions work within a value stream.
•    Strong interpersonal and planning skills with a proven ability to lead change through both direct and indirect (influencing) abilities.
•    Ability to effectively communicate to different levels of the organization.
•    Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills and understanding of problem-solving tools/methods (Six Sigma, 8D, etc.), goal setting, and performance tracking.
•    Ability to demonstrate proven experience in process development, implementation, and sustainability.
•    Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written.
•    Up to 10% travel required.
