Job Description
Riverside is the all-in-one studio-quality recording platform trusted by Spotify, The New York Times, NBC, CNN, and iHeartMedia. We're hiring a Web Developer to own the build, performance, and evolution of Riverside. You'll work closely with SEO, design, and growth, and play a central role as our web stack evolves over time.
What you'll do
- Turn Figma designs into responsive, Pixel-perfect pages
- Build dynamic tools and components that interact with internal and external APIs
- Design and maintain CMS structures that scale with our content roadmap
- Own site maintenance, page speed, and Core Web Vitals
- Implement SEO, CRO, accessibility, and usability best practices
- Lead projects end-to-end, from spec to QA to launch
- Contribute to platform decisions and migrations as our stack evolves
- Oversee external development, design, and technical vendors, managing scopes, reviewing output, and ensuring adherence to timelines and quality.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years building production commercial sites
- Hands-on experience with at least two CMS platforms (Webflow, WordPress, Shopify, Contentful, or similar)
- Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
- Comfort with PHP or willingness to ramp on it for WordPress work
- Solid grasp of cross-browser and cross-device behavior
- Hands-on experience with analytics and tagging tools (Segment, GA4, GTM)
- Sharp eye for visual detail, motion, and responsive design
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and lead them to completion
- Experience managing external agencies or freelance developers, including briefing, QA, and budget tracking
Nice to have
- Experience migrating sites between CMS platforms
- Animation libraries (GSAP, Lottie)
- A/B testing tools (VWO, Optimizely, Convert)
- Technical SEO and structured data
