Job Purpose:
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Operations & Business Performance
- Own full P&L responsibility for the distribution center or contract (revenue, cost, margin).
- Ensure seamless execution of inbound, outbound, inventory, and value-added services.
- Deliver on SLAs and KPIs related to productivity, service level, safety, and inventory accuracy.
- Align operations strategy with business and client objectives.
Client Relationship (Account Management)
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing strategic relationships at senior levels.
- Lead governance forums (QBRs, MBRs), presenting performance, financials, and improvement roadmaps.
- Identify growth opportunities, upselling/cross-selling logistics solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Negotiate scope changes, service levels, and commercial agreements in alignment with business strategy.
- Ensure high client satisfaction (NPS) and long-term partnership development.
Financial Leadership & Cost Optimization
- Manage full cost structure: labor, overhead, consumables, and capex/opex initiatives.
- Drive profitability through productivity gains, cost controls, and efficiency improvements.
- Build and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Analyze variances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to protect margins.
- Lead pricing input, business cases, and ROI analysis for new initiatives or client proposals.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead complex organizations of 200–500+ employees, including managers and supervisors.
- Develop leadership bench strength and succession planning.
- Drive high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, and safety.
- Align workforce strategy with demand planning and business growth.
Continuous Improvement & Digital Transformation
- Lead site-level transformation initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, automation).
- Implement advanced tools and systems (WMS, TMS, SAP, Power BI, data analytics, Python).
- Optimize processes, layouts, and labor models to improve throughput and cost-per-unit.
- Champion a data-driven culture for operational and commercial decision-making.
Who We Are Looking For:
- 12+ years in logistics, supply chain, or distribution center operations.
- Proven progression into senior leadership roles with P&L and client-facing responsibility.
- Managing large-scale, high-volume operations.
- Leading organizations of 200–500+ employees.
- Full ownership of financial performance (budgeting, forecasting, margin optimization).
- Strong experience in client management / account management within 3PL or logistics environments.
- Delivering measurable improvements in productivity, cost, and service levels.
- Implementing WMS, automation, and advanced analytics/reporting solutions.
- Strategic leadership (Operations + Commercial)
