Job Summary
Iowa Home Care is seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Property Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the overall cleanliness, maintenance, appearance, and functionality of our facilities and company property across two locations. This role combines custodial responsibilities with facility maintenance coordination, groundskeeping, fleet oversight, and general property upkeep to ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment for staff and visitors.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and facility care.
Responsibilities
Custodial & Facility Care
- Perform all custodial duties for two company locations, including:
- Cleaning offices, restrooms, common areas, kitchens, and workspaces
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
- Restocking cleaning and restroom supplies
- Maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards throughout facilities
- Monitor facility conditions and address cleanliness concerns promptly
- Assist with room setup and general organization as needed
Building & Property Maintenance
- Coordinate and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
- Maintain maintenance logs and ensure building updates and repair needs are documented
- Communicate maintenance issues and coordinate with outside vendors or contractors when necessary
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings and property to identify maintenance needs
- Ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and visually presentable
Groundskeeping & Exterior Maintenance
- Maintain the appearance of company grounds and outdoor spaces
- Water and care for indoor and outdoor plants
- Monitor landscaping and coordinate seasonal property upkeep
- Ensure sidewalks, entrances, parking areas, and exterior spaces remain clean and safe
Fleet & Equipment Oversight
- Monitor and help coordinate maintenance and upkeep of company vehicles
- Track routine service schedules, inspections, and cleanliness of fleet vehicles
- Report vehicle concerns or repair needs promptly
- Assist in maintaining facility equipment and supplies
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday 9 am - 6 pm
- Occasional flexibility may be required for maintenance or facility needs
Qualifications
- Previous custodial, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and minor repair work
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good email and verbal communication sills
