
Manager, Radiology
Job Description
Essential Job Function:
- Provides leadership and direction for various imaging modalities, collaborating with physicians and medical staff to ensure the delivery of effective, high-quality imaging services.
- Develops goals and objectives to optimize staff utilization and operational efficiency, focusing on productivity targets and cost per unit to improve resource utilization and financial substantiality.
- Monitors and enhances employee and patient satisfaction, implementing action plans for improvement based on feedback to improve the overall quality of care and the success of the radiology department.
- Validates completion of departmental orientation, skills assessments, and staff development to ensure ongoing competency and professional growth to contribute to the delivery of high-quality imaging services.
- Defines and monitors measurable outcomes based on evidence-based practices, including safety initiatives, turnaround times, accreditations, and compliance with regulatory standards to adhere to quality and safety standards, providing a reliable and efficient radiology service.
- Safety Promise, Safety Zone Portal, Tele Tracking, Turnaround Times, IAC Accreditation, and Joint Commission.
- Assists in the selection and supervision of personnel, including timely completion of HR and performance management processes to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Assists in budget development and monitors variances to ensure financial accountability and responsible resource allocation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: Associate's Degree.
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 3 years, Healthcare.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: ARRT (R) | Radiologic Technologist - Dx; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider; Credentialed in a relevant field of radiologic technology and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or other licensing body for imaging (MR, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, and Interventional).
