JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Project Architect is responsible for leading the technical development, coordination, and execution of architectural projects from conceptual design through construction administration. The ideal candidate would work under minimal supervision to carry out the necessary design + documentation of various product lines, such as single-family homes, townhomes, and higher density condo type buildings. Applicant must be passionate about residential design, up to date with current trends, and be able to adapt to new building styles and types.
This is a highly creative position, and the ideal candidate should be detail oriented, understand residential and commercial construction methods, and be able solve complex problems. They must be able to work well in a team environment and work with outside consultants and regulatory agencies.
This is a full-time in-office position.
DUTIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):
- Conduct precedent research on similar product types as the project brief.
- Develop architectural concepts and design solutions for residential and light commercial projects.
- Prepare layouts, drawings, renderings, and 3D models to communicate design concepts.
- Explore current trends in residential + multi-family projects.
- Conduct product research and make materials and systems recommendations.
- Work closely with the VP of Design to meet project deliverables and deadlines.
EXPERIENCE
- Highly Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, and Bluebeam.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and Enscape.
- Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience designing residential and commercial projects.
- Licensed Architect (desired but not required) or equivalent professional experience.
- Understanding of Residential construction and detailing
- Knowledge of latest building codes and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and understand drawings of all disciplines.
- Excellent communication, team building, and resource management skills are a must.
