Job Description

Summary

The Talent Acquisition Sourcer is a pipeline-focused role responsible for proactively identifying, engaging, and qualifying candidates for hard-to-fill positions across all lines of business within the insurance industry. This role operates as a strategic pipeline investment, partnering closely with Talent Acquisition Partners (TAPs) to reduce time-to-fill, improve candidate quality, and build bench strength in critical talent segments.

The ideal candidate brings prior sourcing, recruiting research, or direct recruiting experience—preferably within the insurance or financial services industry—and understands how to navigate niche talent markets, build sustained candidate relationships, and deliver qualified pipeline at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Proactively source passive candidates and maintain talent pipelines for high-priority roles, with a primary focus on licensed insurance positions, sales/production roles, and specialized hard-to-fill functions.

  • Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, Phenom, industry databases, professional associations, and referral networks to identify qualified candidates others miss.

  • Conduct initial outreach to assess interest, qualifications, and fit before handing off to the assigned recruiter.

  • Nurture warm leads over time through CRM and ATS pipeline tools  staying engaged with candidates who aren’t ready to move yet but may be in the future.

  • Partner with recruiters on intake and strategy sessions, bringing market intelligence on talent availability and competitive dynamics.

  • Track and report on sourcing activity, candidate conversion rates, channel effectiveness, and pipeline health.

  • Monitor competitor hiring activity and talent movement within the insurance industry to sharpen sourcing strategies.

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate records in the ATS with clear disposition notes and pipeline status.

  • Generate candidate interest through creative marketing and social media messaging that aligns with HUB’s talent brand.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in talent sourcing, recruiting research, or full-cycle recruiting.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and sourcing automation tools.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills—you can write outreach that gets responses from people who ignore most recruiters.

  • Experience working in a multi-recruiter team environment with clear handoff and collaboration protocols.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent searches and prioritize based on business impact.

  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and candidate relationship management tools.

  • High attention to detail in candidate documentation, pipeline tracking, and data integrity.

What Sets You Apart

  • Prior experience recruiting within the insurance, financial services, or benefits industry.

  • Familiarity with insurance-specific roles and licensure requirements (P&C, L&H, surplus lines).

  • Experience sourcing for licensed, production, or revenue-generating positions where passive talent strategies are essential.

  • Background in employer branding, talent marketing, or recruitment marketing.

Who You Are

  • A hunter. You’re self-directed, persistent, and energized by the challenge of finding people in hard-to-reach talent segments.

  • Genuinely curious. You want to learn the insurance business, understand what makes each role tick, and build credibility with candidates and internal partners at HUB.

  • A relationship builder. You know how to earn trust with candidates who aren’t actively looking and keep them engaged over time.

  • Data-minded. You’re comfortable with pipeline metrics and conversion tracking, and you use data to refine your approach—not just report on it.

  • A team player. You see yourself as a partner to your recruiters, not a separate function. When pipeline moves, everyone wins.
