
Outside Sales and Counter Sales Rep
Job Description
As an Outside Sales and Counter Sales Representative, you will call on a group of assigned accounts that include Wholesale and non-wholesale customers and will assist with promoting and advancing company marketing/sales programs. In addition, you will assist with internal store operations such as customer service, parts delivery and freight processing.
JOB DUTIES:
- Call on customers per the schedule/strategy created by store leader and ensure retail and wholesale customers make Auto Value the first call for parts
- Assist with store counter sales, parts delivery and freight processing as part of a regular schedule
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of current sales and sales targets
- Conduct sales transactions with adherence to store/company policies and procedures
- Complete all related reports accurately and on time
- Participate in training programs, learning about our products, our programs and our customers
- Represent Auto Value in a professional and positive manner
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma/GED with a minimum of two years of related experience and with a thorough knowledge of the auto parts industry and sales approaches
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to function in a demanding environment, under substantial time pressure
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of desktop computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
