Basic Qualifications
Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles. Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program with a preference in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
Role Summary
An LAA IT Intern is responsible for maintaining and supporting the company's technology infrastructure. This includes installing and updating software, managing servers and networks, and troubleshooting any technical issues. They may also be involved in security efforts, ensuring data protection and compliance with company policies
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the functionality, efficiency, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of both physical and virtual hardware including those in lab environments and computers running on one or more operating systems using monitoring tools.

- Work with customers to identify, isolate, and resolve problems with devices that are affecting other services.
- Executes, maintains, and promotes Security Compliancy and Process Improvement processes and policies.
Ability to express and discuss technical topics effectively within team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Good understanding of various operating systems like Windows, Linux, and UNIX.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other networking concepts.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar.
- Good problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Good documentation skills to maintain system documentation, procedures, and policies.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot effectively.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good attention to detail for system management and security practices.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support cross-functional project
