About Our Lifemark Physiotherapy Vancouver Broadway Clinic

The clinical team Lifemark Physiotherapy Vancouver Broadway are passionate about enriching the health of their clients through a holistic approach, as the Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist you will play a vital role in delivering care within a progressive and collaborative atmosphere.

Your impact

As the Occupational Hand Therapist, you will provide therapeutic services to clients with complex hand injuries and develop personalized, goal-oriented treatment plans in collaboration with the client and interdisciplinary team.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based Hand Therapy services to clients with a specialization in Hand Therapy.
  • Assess & treat a variety of pre/post op or complex hand/finger injuries.
  • Apply clinical expertise and professional competence in the assessment, intervention, consultation, case management, discharge planning, education, and follow-up of clients
  • Provide non-operative, pre-op, or post-op care, custom splint fabrication, wound/scar management, and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility and strength.
  • Implement techniques such as manual therapy, wound care, scar management, desensitization, sensory re-education, and edema control (e.g., compression, elevation).
  • Instructs patients on joint protection, energy conservation, home exercise programs, and ergonomic modifications.
  • Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client's chart
  • Excel in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment


Are you the right fit?

As one of the largest networks of OTs in the nation, you will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, delivering high-quality, client-centered care across multiple clinics, or specific clinic and community settings. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in your province.
  • 1-3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist is preferred
  • Certified Hand Therapist Designation (or willing to pursue)
  • Strong understanding of upper extremity anatomy, kinesiology, and surgical protocols
  • Newly Licensed Graduates are accepted


Other Requirements: 

  • Clinical experience is a valuable asset in areas such as brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics/or return to work.
  • Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
