Heavy Forklift Operator

Job Summary


This position supports the claims operation by providing information and assistance to the company's Salvage Operation. The primary function of this position is to inspect and relocate vehicles, with the use of a forklift, to appropriate staging areas.

Job Duties

  • Inspect all incoming vehicles to determine title or salvage certificate status.
    Complete inventory inspection sheets.
    Move vehicles to staging areas.
    Secure all vehicles in lot as appropriate.
  • Assist with inventory count, in conjunction with the Claims Clerk count.
  • Perform routine maintenance to forklifts.
  • Ensure security of salvage yard.
  • Consult with team manager or supervisor on any security or salvage lot issues


Qualifications

  • High School GED Required
  • 1-3 years Forklift operator Preferred
  • Forklift Certification - Forklift Certification Institute Required


Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel to off-site business meetings or conferences.

The starting pay range for this position is:

$19.14 - $25.50
