Position Purpose
Coordinates patient flow for specific area. Assures general supervision and daily scheduling of employees. Oversight includes the daily scheduling, evaluation and documentation of all diagnostic technologists and the monthly maintenance of both manpower and supply budgets. Maintains, documents and reviews quality control on equipment and ensures it’s working properly.
As a “Ultrasound, Supervisor” you will:
- Provides patient care and performs quality procedures in an efficient manner in the modality assigned.
- Coordinates the activities of the technical staff assigned to the shift.
- Must demonstrate the capability of maintaining effective communication between front desk and relevant departments within Medical Imaginag, ER, in-patient units, technologists and Director /Assistant Director.
- Coordinates all in-patient, outpatient and emergency patient flow while demonstrating organizational skills, procedural skills and problem-solving skills within a high stress environment.
- Coordination includes ability to organize daily scheduling plans to include all patients.
- Identifies care needs of patients/significant others and implements interventions and utilizes equipment necessary to meet the specific needs of the patient population served to include: Neonates, infants, pediatric, young adults, middle adults, late adults.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a JRC/ERT approved Radiologic Technology Program or AMA/RDMS ultrasonography program as determined by work area.
- Licensed by the State of Maryland. Certification or Registration as appropriate for position.
- CPR certified as Heathcare Provider through the American Heart Association.
- Two (2) years experience in a similar medical imaging supervisory role. If a specialty area must have three (3) years experience in specialty area as a technologist in a hospital with demonstrated competence in performing the full range of area specific exams, (i.e., CT, Ultrasound, Angio, MRI).
- Demonstrated leadership ability, human relations and organizational skills in relating to co-workers, physicians, patients and other hospital departments.
- Must be able to stand, bend, lift, communicate verbally and have visual acuity.
- Must be able to perform procedures on newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients.
- Reads, writes, speaks and comprehends the English language.
Pay Range: $39.47 - $61.20
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
[FT/PT Benefit eligible Roles]:
**0.5 FTE (20 hours weekly) up to 1.0 FTE (40 hours weekly)
