Post-Collection Support Representative

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)

Duration: 6-month contract (with potential for extension or permanent conversion)

Pay Rate: $25/hour

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Post-Collection Support Representative to join a high-volume back-office operations team within the financial services space. This position supports post-payment collections, loan servicing, and reconciliation activities across multiple internal partners.

This is a fast-paced, highly manual environment where priorities shift daily based on business needs. Success in this role requires strong Excel skills, analytical thinking, accuracy, and the ability to adapt quickly.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process payment-related cases received via shared inboxes, workflows, and Excel files
  • Collect and apply payments, deposits, and documentation while ensuring accuracy across systems
  • Perform reconciliations of general ledger activity, including debit/credit resolution and payment investigations
  • Investigate discrepancies and validate customer payments in collaboration with accounting and operational teams
  • Support back-office collection functions, including outreach to internal partners when errors or missing details are identified
  • Assist with loan servicing activities such as final payments, loan closures, and lien releases
  • Extract, validate, and update data using Excel, internal systems, and legacy platforms
  • Manage a high volume of cases (approximately 70–100 per day) while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Adapt to shifting responsibilities across collections, loan servicing, dealer support, and branch-related requests

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in a back-office role within a financial institution or banking environment
  • Experience with reconciliation, including debit/credit resolution and payment processing
  • Strong Excel skills (spreadsheets, data extraction, validation, and accuracy checks)
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams (e.g., branches, accounting, operations)

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Post-collection or post-payment processing experience
  • Familiarity with AS400 systems
  • Exposure to loan servicing or lien release processes
